Can anyone help me find the best settings to get a good quality and small file size for a QT movie?

h264 codec is your best bet from the information you have provided.
What is your end result who is going to be using the movie?.

Mind your 'hinted streaming' settings as well, if this is for web.

It is internal so will only been seen on mac i assume, just been told to make it as small as poss.
I am using h624 but it is 100mb?

How long is the file how big is it and do you want to sacrifice quality for file size?.

1280x720
2.40sec
I would like the quality to be as good as possible really with a small file size?

Does it need to be HD?. If not do SD.
h264 is your best bet for smaller file size to quality ratio, is every computer going to be a mac if so defo. do h264 also if they are running it off the computer I would stand my ground and say I worked like a bitch to get this done and now you are reducing it to crap compression if you blast it under 100 megs.
Think of it like this you go and set an orchestra up and record soem wicked sound then deliver a crappy bitrate mp3 as the final product?.... or a glorious photoshop document, reduced to 640 x 480 and say 30% quality jpeg compression!!!.

yeah it would be a shame and i could not imagine it will be sent around alot. They are just obsessed with small sizes.
