Fizik - You think it's easier to recognize the obscure, distorted letters in the current, common forms of CAPTCHA than it is to recognize images of common objects that appear in Vidoop's solution?
You don’t need to take my word for it - Microsoft approved Vidoop's image-based solution to allow access to their HealthVault service in part for its ease of use. “Our objective is to give our customers choice and make their Web experience easier, while helping them safeguard their privacy,” - George Scriban, Senior Product Manager HealthVault

swear by Recaptcha, and have struggled to avoid captcha use in general for years, without success...
Vidoop contribution is interesting tho! A bit too much of a mental game to figure that image/letter combo thing out tho isn't it?

http://demo.vidoop.com/captcha/ - Our company released a new CAPTCHA solution - no squiggly letters... It's a free web service and WordPress plugin. Feedback welcome -

CAPTCHAs are the worst fucking thing on the internet right now.
Solution for lazy jerk programmers- what does a non-lazy programmer do to defend against automated traffic then ?mikotondria3

ReCAPTCHA is actually quite good and you can skin it (well, there's a couple of different settings). And since adding it to my site no spam has come through.
A++++ Excellent catcher. Will use again.

utopian, that's the same link I posted. I'm looking for something a little different. I've seen some that are just a simple question like "What is 2 + 2?"

So I'm looking to find a nice, simple Q&A captcha. http://recaptcha.net/ is cool and all, but I want something less intrusive. Something like:
Q: What color is snow?
A: WhiteI think I may just go the ReCAPTCHA route. in the end. Any thoughts?
