Use the bridge, man. It removes all guess work. :)
Coated and Uncoated are for substrates, so your ID kit should include both, along with RGB and CMYK.

yes i am using the bridge. huge shift in CMYK on coated and uncoated.
so my question is do you really supply both; (coated+cmyk+rgb) and (uncoated+cmyk+rgb) for the identity.
seems like overkill, but...

We do. If you're a stickler for identical branding, it's integral. If not, maybe it is overkill. It would also depend on companies. We create basic DSMs for clients that include all of this and samples and "Dos and Don'ts" and they're only about 5pps.
