How about some dividing lines around the nav? so when it expends, I am not confused

i made updates to the navigation and have some opinions from some about a few certain matters and want to see if anyone else responds similarly.

Lovely. And the navigation works better now..
Since you introduced color, would be worth exploring a color-code for the different kind of projects.

I quite like it, layout wise I think it shows your work well. The nav I am not 100% sure about though; fInd it a bit cumbersome. Also maybe organize/divide the work up? Product, Logo, print etc......

nice stuff!
i would fix the nav on the left so it doesn't scroll with the work. also, your unisource images seem to have a lot of compression artifacts on them.- but wouldn't that cut off bottom of menu on shorty screens?acescence

I like the navigation (colors, type), it's small, but still well readable. maybe it needs 1 more size to accentuate the title: "SHARI EATON, ... ". I like the 'Graphic Designer' from the html <titel> more than the 'Multi-disciplinary Designer' in the text, but that is my opinion, anyway they are different on the page...
what bothers me most visually is the leftalignment of the navigation VS. the centered images, but here again, that's only opinion.
overall I like it. nice and easy to use.

Great work Shari! I agree that the nav highlight thing looks a little bit out of place, perhaps it could be achieved in a more subtle manner?
Only other suggestion is that it might make sense to include a little info about yourself. Sometimes you might refer people you meet the site, but someone also might stumble across it on the internet and they would not have as much context.

I find it perfectly fine for a print designer´s portfolio, exactly like it is now, w/o any a additional elements/sub-structure/colours, etc. IMO these would only be necessary in the long run, like when the contents is about 150-200% of the current size.
One thine, you might want to check in the navigation: when the "rover" thing gets selected, the navi jumps a line up (FF3/vista), looks buggy.
Then I would keep the dark text colour for the rollovers (now it changes to white), but that´s a matter of taste I guess.
Also, some people would argue that a +1 on the font size would make it easier for the folks to read the text content, but, you know.

I like the feminine touch

Really nice site and great work.
My only comment is i wish there was a Next/Previous navigation for the projects. Personally I think this is a must for portoflios to allow for easy navigation. I dont want to have to go over to the nav and find the project I am on and go to the one below it. Basic UX stuff.
- yeah. i think next / prev would help a lot.skt
- this occurred to me yesterday – definitely going to implement it._salisae_
- i like that idea. good one.akrokdesign

Talent right there.

uh, erm, another thing. the description for the fahrenheit project was kinda irritiating. for one I suppose there´s hardly anyone who doesn´t know fahrenheit, and then a summary just doesn´t seem to belong there in the first place. no?

i would maybe consider putting the project info to the right of the project images. with the next / prev below that. then also reduce the length of your menu (reduce the line spacing).
