OK. I have been asked to throw together a presentation in flash that will be played thru a DVD player and projected. So, I do not really need to work around dimensions. BUT, how do I get a flash file to auto-play from the DVD?
Any ideas? I am VERY noob at this kind of thing.

All depends on what you are trying to do. If it's an animation you have created on the timeline then follow the steps above. If you are trying to keep it interactive and are using actionscript. You need to look into creating a rom and flash projector file.

In Flash > File menu > Export > Export as movie. This will generate a quicktime .mov file. You will need a converter to go from Quicktime to the DVD file structure so it can play (the output creates folder called VIDEO_TS which contains vob file and others which the dvd player can read). Then you will need to use dvd burning software to burn out the disk.

Just be aware that if you export to Quicktime, all your animation has to be on the main timeline, no nested looping MovieClips.
That's the way it used to be anyway, feel free to correct me if anyone knows otherwise.- The animations can be nested in MC's now. However, you need to expand the main timeline.moogchild
- does the instance have to be set to Graphic, or can it stay as a MC?harlequino
