On the computers inside the apple store they have a locked down interface with large icons in the middle of the screen for their commonly used applications.
Does anyone know of an application to emulate this? Remove normal desktop and offer a preselected amount of large icons on the screen.
Also, does anyone have a picture of this on the Apple Store computers.
Thanks.

right .. that interface is not kiosk, kiosk is an application that runs fullscreen that you can hardly get out of except when pressing a cetrain key combo and then a password. .
I think, that what they do here is just a simply coded html overlay of some sort .. like an html desktop on windows (can't believe i said that).. it's not kiosk though for as far as i know..
- kiosk is especially used for running in stores and publicly accessible applicationsJordy

Maybe they are using something like this. It will let you display html on the desktop.

you could use anything that offers interaction level and full screen.
from a cd rom, or dvd to a flash file (projector) or flash website (fullscreen)

it's custom software they wrote themselves and will not distribute it. i know someone that was interested in using it and investigated the matter.
