I got up at 6.30, put on my tracky's, necked a provigil pill and a can of red bull and stepped onto the balcony to go for my morning run.
Took one look at the snow and thought, "No chance."
Unfortunately i couldn't go back to bed as i was jacked up on pep pills and caffeine. So the next hour i spent in a restless eyes closed state, fuelled by paranoia that i had 2 hours before i had to leave for work.
In any case... I made it!!

bit of snow here, not too bad; have never ever seen it get so that transport etc is canceled up here, although to be fair, its far far more snowy down south than its probably been in central scotland for ages

Right outside my studio door is Shoreham port where they bring in timber and building materials from Europe. They unload off heeeuge ocean tankers about 100 yards away and then lots of strange vehicles, from forklift trucks to those mad knee high airport lorries load up with tons of the goods and come rocketing round the corner into the storage hangar opposite me. The gap is about twenty feet so its a tight corner. They're going the same speed as always today despite there being 7" of snow and ice. They keep understeering right up to my patio doors and only finding some grip at the very last second to get round the corner.
One of them is going to crash into here today. I know it.
