I agree - the kid has been treated like a pariah since that thread in January at least. It's not fair. I like the fact that QBN is full of people who don't take any shit and aren't worried about being overly nice when there's no need, but the stick he's got is too much imo.

ahh, mimeartst white knighting... and you have always been such an encouraging presence on this site.
in answer to your question he was an arrogant little twat that refused to listen to advice, insulted numerous people that tried to help him and then to top it all off stole another qbn members website (copy and pasted the code wholesale) and then put it up for crit on here.

i dont know about any site being ripped off but i know he tries his best given the fact he has made a very bad first impression. he has tried time after time to apologise with people bringing up old shit all the time and generally not letting it slide
end of the day, hes done the fuckin book and has a good collection of work donated from alot of well known sources. last thing he is going to do is claim it as his own as he has alot more integrity you lot give him credit for

Rybo, you mentioned that you used blurb to produce the prototype copies..
But you can also sell this book from blurb .. apparently you get to set your own price and keep 100% of the profits - so all profits could still go to whichever autism society is associated with the book.

Why not do that? No publishing deal would be required.

1. Sell it on blurb.
2. Buy a couple copies for yourself.
3. Take those copies to local boutiques/bookstores and explain it to the owners, try and get them to stock a few copies.
4. If step 3 works well enough, use it to help find an actual publisher.- you can even allow other people to buy direct from blurb -> sell it from a dedicated website, you can integrate the blurb api into it********
