My humble opinion.
They failed to be diverse in their style. It is true that for a long time, their style was copied and duplicated. The graduates of this style have built them selves an unique style aside from the original.
As an agency, they couldn't sustain the diversity but as a design studio with specific style, they have succeed. We all are students of this style and some still are.
I look forward to seeing new work from TDR. Maybe more modernized from its original form, i hope.

So true - TDR was a huge influence on the first generation of interactive designers. When NT originally launched, I remember seeing the parallels in style to TDR, down to the "fake giant corporation" look and attitude. They will be missed.
