I've got a wee Smart Roadster Coupe that i've had for 3 years and fancying something new.
Smart cars are made by Mercedes.
I've seen a car I fancy in Northern England so i'd enquired as to how much theyd give me for my Roadster.
The garage is a Toyota one and they said they wouldnt take the car as a trade in (it would never appear on their forecourt) and that they'd get Mercedes to underwrite the trade in and they'd get the car.
The wifey phones me back and tells me that Merceded won't touch ANY Roadsters.
The reason being: "they are faulty!""Eh? What? - They F*cking MADE the cars .... and now they want nothing to do with them?!!" lol madness.
Its true, a lot of the Roadsters did have a problem with waterleaks. I had this problem with mine, it managed to flood the ECU unit twice in a year. The electrics would f*ckup every other month after a heavy rain.
I just kept on taking mines back to Mercedes as it was under warranty until it was 100% fixed and new ECU's bought at no cost to me. Mines has been fine for well over a year now :)
What a bunch of C*NTS though for not wanting to touch them!!
