My favorite print designer is David Carson, but he's kind of old now.

I used to love Carson's work when I was in school. Then one day I woke up, looked at his monographs, and realized the work is 90% shite. Now it just looks passe. David Carson is to 90's design what David Lee Roth is to 80's glam rock, i.e. hopelessly dated.

After I finish my website, I'm going to make a printed mini-folio. It'll be digital, but with nice uncoated papers and cool binding.

Print will never die, people love the personal experience of turning pages and feeling the weight of a printed piece in their hands. Print will always be changing, though. For example, the newspaper and magazine industries are suffering big time right now, and of course nobody buys CDs anymore; but people will always prefer their poetry and prose in print. I see print becoming more and more about novelty. I personally wouldn't mind it if everything was either printed very nicely or not at all, doubtful it will go that direction since people are all about cheap cheap, and direct mail for one seems to be a plague which we won't be soon rid of.
- Amen!Ravdyk
- Never say never. Once digital paper is refined and available, we'll see.GetRefresh
