Campaign Monitor just tested every embed method across all the major email clients:

anyway, embeding video (and any other big content) in mails is per se not a good idea.

Agreed guys, this report was more of a technical report on _if_ it was possible. Whether or not it's a good idea is a different question altogether. Given how poor the support is, I don't think you'll have anything to worry about for some time anyway.
