Chin up.
That's terrible that they didn't at least do it one on one.

That stinks but you don't. Walk away and be loyal to yourself.

the questions presents itself: stay in cold ass chicago and get the same type of job or move back home to AZ and get a shitty job but enjoy the sun?!

Hey dude i just went through it too with a place here in Chicago, Ive been freelancing since then, and couldnt be happier. Making way more money and have a ton of freedom.
Cheers and goodluck- Really? Maybe I should try that as well. I got laid off in Aug and took a internal design position. It really sucks dick though.....

Sorry to hear it.....I am sure something positive will come out of it. Sometimes it's good to be shaken up a bit even though it sucks when it happens. Been there, always been a positive experience on the other side.

studderine:
I was in the same boat you are in a few years back. I had just been laid off and wondered if I should move back home to a steady job and my friends and family... well I did it and now I view it as the single biggest mistake of my life. I panicked and now I'm paying for it. Stick it out for a while or move to a new location you've been wondering about, but don't give up just yet.- i don't want to stay in cold ass chicago! hahastudderine

Sorry! I'm in the same boat, but sadly enough, it's 15 months since it happened. Industry sucks, and there are no jobs. I sent resumes out left and right, but no response. Maybe is not the market, maybe it's just me that sucks! Fuck, who knows! I hope you'll have way better luck then me.
Maybe it's time for a career change?
