to stop over-population, old people should be killed at birth

If you're doing it right I gotta think 70 years of this place is plenty.

you'd have too many funerals of friends and loved ones.... it'd drive you nuts after another 100 years.. and you'd get bored with anything out there. really anything..

shit...am I the only one who would glady live forever?
providing I was in at least a reasonable condition to enjoy it.

I JUST MIGHT get to see my Redskins win another Super Bowl if i have another 1000 years.
Will the Detroit Lions finally have a winning season in the next 1000 years?

I'm not sure if the growth process would be decelerated. I think it would only affect the aging process.
- you couldn't sustain it - so over time you would grow slower.mistermik

I'm in. Why would I want to die?
I love the term bioconservatives. I think those were the people DaVinci was hiding from. Thanks again, Christianity.

Where being married 10 times is okay... I'm in!

gramme - the wife and I have the same exact discussion about not being allowed to die before the other. However, when I bring up the subject of dynamite on a timer, she doesn't find it as funny as I do. Hmm, what to do...

Naturally, the idea of living to 1,000 doesn't appeal to me. I'd rather not wait that long to behold my maker face to face.
Now, I wouldn't mind living up to 100, as long as my wife and I die at exactly the same time. We've already discussed this, neither of us is allowed to outlive the other. Although I'm sure it won't work out that way.
Wouldn't it be nice to choose the day of your death, like a king of Numenor?

this depends.
is there any likelihood of delorean-based time machines being developed in that time frame? if so, i'd gladly live a couple years of my life in each significant era and time it so that i die just before humanity begins to eat itself.
