i hadn't seen this commercial before. it took 606 takes to get a working shot, no cut aways, no cg.

Great idea, great piece of work. Wasn't it embroiled in some dispute over ripping an older, possibly swedish art film? Perhaps its a strong example of the idea that its not where you take things from, its where you take them to.

German art film, for the life of me I can't remember the title? But there have been more.

Good god, timeline!
by the way, there is cgi in that.- where? the only retouching i found in any articles is that it was cut into 2 shots because of extreme difficultyarmsbottomer

der lauf der dingen is awesome.
Saw it first in high school.

There is obviously a heavy inspiration from Der Lauf.... I personally am Ok with it cause they found a creative way to work it in.

something's wrong with the wheels ...
it so 'shoped it hurts.

this is an old classic. Still my favorite and it was done in one take.
- Rushmore0
I read somewhere that the wheels were somehow counterbalanced inside to get the desired motion.

those 3 tires are clearly 'shoped

I heard that in the end it was actually done in a few stages and then stitched together. Love the honda ads, one of my favs is impossible dream
