Anyone know of any good 24-hr coffeehouses in NYC? Now that Alt.Cafe is (long) gone, and I've grown distinctly fed up with Esperanto, I don't know of any. Think Coffee is only open until 1am, Tea House (bklyn) closes at 2am, and always over crowded. There are 3 Starbucks' open 24hrs but not really a creative work environment. Yaffa is too dingy and loud and they seem to get fed up if you stay for hours (since they're predominantly a diner).
Anyone?

Some are listed in this thread era. I'm sure e-pill knows some more.

There's the french cafe over on Park and 20th, L'Express. 24 Hr joint. Although it can be loud depending on what time you're there...

Try 9th Ave over by 45th, there's lots of places up that way. How about the Chelsea Hotel? (Not so much a coffee place.)

you're going to work at 1am and drink coffee?!

Thanks guys. No, force12, I don't go there to work at 1am, but there are times when I have to pull all-nighters, when I don't want to be home or in the office. Otherwise, I just want a home-away-from-home for if I'm reading or socializing with friends.

There's a place on 6th and 8th (right next to B&N) that has great freshly-brewed Hazelnut. :)
