I discovered Tulum almost 19 years ago.
I wonder if anyone here been there recently

I honeymooned there 10 years ago. Rented a gorgeous private home there for a couple of weeks and explored the surrounding areas. It was a great experience.
- Sure Karen********
- Do you have some problem with my first hand experience of tulum or my on topic comment in the thread about it?monospaced
- Or are you just upset that I have extensive first hand experience with Tulum and you only have some random boiler set video from YouTube?monospaced
- Also, that’s not how you wield Karen; it’s almost like you don’t know what it means evenmonospaced
- Sure Karen

- Probabruuuu better than your honeymoon, as this is one of the best Boiler Rooms ever...********
- you sound like an incel, and I’ve been to Ibiza in the 90s you ignoramus.monospaced
- Oh shit? Were you actually there!? No, didn’t think so. Of course you weren’t, but nice useless YouTube video addition to this thread.monospaced
- Just like your useless honeymoon post?
Lately you just post personal crap...******** - My comment was about actual experience in tulum, which is what the thread is about. Unlike your comment.monospaced

Tulum has become one of the most over hyped and over subscribed places to go. It's full of influencers, tech house bros and generally the worst kind of people. Any charm has long gone and the actual nice part about it (the long stretch of beach with all the nice little restaurants and hotels) is an nightmare single lane of traffic, driving entitled international tourists to their over priced "mexican" dinner reservations.
Avoid.
- I’m glad we avoided so much of that. Had some pretty special moments.monospaced
- same as happens to so many beautiful places... tourism is a cancerhans_glib
- signs of getting oldneverscared
- yep. I stayed there 10 years just before it went full-bougie. You could still find tacos on the beach for a couple bucks, and regular-priced mexican beerssarahfailin
- That’s the Tulum I remember too.monospaced
