Helvetica missing

Anyone else have this prob when upgrading to Leopard?
My System font Helvetica seems to be missing, although the font appears in FontExplorerX and is activated by default all the text is in Helvetica Bold unless I activate Arial :-/

i had this prob, its fontexplorer... something with your settings. try quitting font explorer and see if prob still exists. i had to reload system fonts and re-install font explorer. think it has to do with what settings you tick when setting up font explorer...

Helvetica Neue is standard in Leopard (as is standard Helvetica). Uploading your own copies of the font only messes up the system. Get rid of all non-system copies of Helvetica and it'll be sorted.

Yeah I had that problem, uninstall Helvetica, restart, then install again, should sort it out.

Third-from-last reply explains how to correct this. Sorry for the short post — QBN seems to be blocking my longer explanation (denied to the nature of its content!!)!
