I've seen a documentary on this storyline... sorta ruined any chance at drama. Tom Cruise didn't do much for me. He should go back to making top gun movies so I don't have to pay attention to him.

Hmmm. I wasn't expecting a masterpiece but I thought Bryan Singer's involvement would at least make it watchable. The biggest problem this film had is in it's casting. And not just Cruise. Nearly every high ranking German is played by British old school luvvies. Branagh, Bill Nighy, Tom Wilkinson, Terence Stamp. Even Eddie Izzard FFS. Might as well have thrown in Stephen Fry as gay commandant and been done with it. It also has the feel of something which has been back and forth through the editing room trying to heighten the tension and failing miserably. Pretty poor all round. Operation Daybreak is a more interesting movie about a similar subject (the assassionation of Reinhard Heydrich) http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0075…
