I waisted close to an hour on this. I imported a video into flash, and it previews fine. I'm ready to upload but I can't find the damn .flv file. Usually it's in the same folder as the .fla file but it's not. I did a search and still can't find it. Is there a way to track the path of the .flv??

open the flash file and look at the path in the component inspector.
if you used the new version of the media encoder it might have exported to the new fl4 format.

The FLV will not export so the path in that FLA should tell you its exact location on your computer. How hard could it be to find an FLV on your harddrive... spotlight or search "FLV" and it should come up pretty quickly.

flash doesn't export the FLV man?! it links and plays it. the component inspector will show where the flv is exactly. it's either an FLV or an F4V.
- you place the swf in the html page and the swf calls in the flv / f4v.airey
- I took a mpeg-4 file, and it use to create a .flv and .swf file seperately in the same folderepikore
- For some reason, it's not doing that nowepikore
- so just find out where the flv is using the component inspector, then move it's directory and relinkairey
