Tower Cranes

Anyone ever seen one of these things go up? There's one nextdoor that's probably 15 stories high for a new development. It just appeared there one day and I never even saw a hint of it actually in process of going up.
I think they just appear overnight by a magical tower crane fairy who drops them into place.
Apparently they just grab more and more of the vertical tower parts and keep stacking on top of it. I'm perplexed by them and really want to see the actually rise in height of one.
