Yesterday Prince premiered 4 new songs on Indie 103.1 off his new album. Pretty good stuff for those who want to listen :) Also what are your thoughts about his way of working completely independent/label free?

Prince is just one of those artists that come along once a generation. Granted the fact that he's always been a bit mysterious and private, and weird at times but I think that has always been part of his appeal. Although all of his songs are different, almost without listening to his voice on a track you can tell its a Prince track, and that takes musical genius.

Prince began to be tiresome for me back in the eighties, despite the occasional glimmer of genius afterwards (Black Album was kind of cool).

Despite his freak tendencies Prince is a rare talent and if you need any proof, listen to this album which he released when he was 16 and played several instruments.
