"X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE" UPLOADER SENTENCED TO ONE YEAR IN PRISON

sequel to X-Men Origins: Wolverine, will begin filming in Japan in January, from a script by Usual Suspects writer Chris McQuarrie. Wha?? The trained seals at Fox hired someone qualified? Oh well, I guess it’s true what they say about even a blind squirrel busting a nut. I think that’s how it goes.
No director has been signed. And the script is a little different than originally thought. Based on a story cycle by Frank Miller and Chris Claremont, Wolverine’s adventures in martial arts will be a love story featuring a Japanese actress, I am told. “It’s a beautiful story,” says a source, “and will be very different than the first film.”
In addition to “Wolverine in Japan,” don’t worry. There are plenty of X-Men movies on the drawing boards. The next one [X-Men First Class] will bring back director Bryan Singer, who made the first two films. [via Friedman's column]

What's a travesty is a movie like Wolverine is made and buckets of cash are thrown at it and it's total garbage. I suppose this brings some commercial success no matter how bad it is - especially in dvd sales, etc. But I'm getting sick of these flicks in my old age.
All you need is good writing and interesting characters to knock one out of the park:
Saw this last night and it blew my socks off. So freaking good.

Jackman Says Work on Wolverine 2 is Starting
Source: MTV August 10, 2009Hugh Jackman talked to MTV and confirmed that Wolverine 2 will take place in Japan.
"Japan is where we're heading, [and] we're starting to work on it now. We're in the ... first steps of developing that story," Jackman said about adapting Frank Miller and Chris Claremont's story arc.
He added: "I think the fans love that saga. It's my favorite saga of the Wolverine stories."

- Well they actually are making a new one, which is a joke since the first was awful.CygnusZero4

Jackman only bought breakfast for those people for press. Just trying to get that big box office push for those first couple of weeks. Who in their right mind would camp out to watch Hollywood further butcher the X-Men legacy? Wait, obviously these people aren't in their right mind as they're camping out to watch a movie.

The movie is getting some horrid reviews.

I've already given up hope for character development (except maybe for Wolverine). Most of these films have too many characters to focus on.

Kinda icky reviews so far. Hope it's not a dissapointment.

Awesome story ^
May be a bit late, but for people who want to watch the leaked copy:
I heard the CGI and other, later items were not put in, so it's interesting to see the process if you're into how films are made and what order different stages are done in.I would watch the finished copy first, and then go on to watch the other one. But I realize it came out a while ago and there may be people who couldn't wait.
Looking forward to this tomorrow.

Hugh Jackman Drops $4300 on Breakfast
Posted Apr 30th 2009 2:15PM by TMZ Staff
Hugh Jackman knows the best way to a fan's heart is through his or her stomach -- that's why he dropped $4308.87 to stuff 800 faces in Arizona.TMZ has obtained the receipt from Paradise Bakery in Tempe, Arizona -- where Jackman bought 67 breakfast trays and 80 gallons of coffee for a pack of "Wolverine" fans who had camped out in front of a theater the day before Monday's big premiere.
Once Jackman heard about the fans, he promised to buy them breakfast and placed the order late Sunday. We're told Jackman wanted to keep the food order simple and bought platters of bagels, muffins, and croissants.
No word if Jackman left a tip -- we're gonna assume he did ... 'cause he can do no wrong.
