Open another thead coz the other one was runied by moamoaâ„¢.
How do you work when you have diff text styles on the same text box? I need Character Styles and so on, but do you use a text frame (the T in tools) for each one? or do you use just 1 text frame and change styles inside? whats best?

I use one text frame and change styles within - it easier for lining things up I think
but it comes down to personal preference
- why you would ever use multiple text boxes, I'll never knowmonospaced
- everyone once in awhile I will - but I always line them up PERFECTLY on the master and then edit them page by pagemegE

Yep. Starting another thread will definitely help.

One text-frame.
Define your paragraph styles for your copy and then apply character styles individual characters / words as necessary.

I'm asking because he's going about it completely wrong. I mean, he's downloading premade grids, asking advice from a bunch of snarky monkeys, and his grasp of design in general seems extremely weak.

well the example he showed yesterday looked like a tutorial type of learning experience thing... so *cross fingers* just learning? (grimaces in anticipation of answer)
