This is a pretty stupid idea, but I have to say, the result looks great.

it's rare, but for the first time since my choirboy times i must say i am sick of seeing cocks.

i have seen many cocks in just as many situations and in all colours imaginable, but this sort of get together of cocks really makes my balls hide in my lower belly.

As a kid we raised our own chickens for eggs and food. Roosters do in fact fight naturally and will do so for mating/territorial reasons. Some fights last for quite some time and others were very short bursts. When confined and forced to fight, it brings up all kinds of other issues. Just like dog fighting.

I'm wondering who said this is "art"? This isn't art. It's meant as a videoclip for a band; hence getting people to watch it, talk about it (and hopefully liking and buying the music). It's a videoclip. Who said it was art?
And the only reason these cocks "fight so long" is a) indeed a close space but also b) it's a video! they used shots with highspeed cams, different POV's, hell - it's only 3 or 4 minutes anyway. Humans can fight much bloodier fights in far less minutes.
- Oh and the cocks were cared for afterwards :Deating_tv
- it's just BAD ART, don't you get it?francoisfido
- people talking about it said its art, good or bad.cannonball

this is where graphic design fails as art.
the dog in the gallery is something else entirely. use your brain for a moment.

Cocks.

I thought the video was pretty cool. From what I gather, you all are saying that something has no artistic merit if there is animal violence involved? IMHO morality stunts creativity. This argument is a prime example.

"Animals fight each other, get over it."
What a load of rubbish, yes they do but hardly ever. Roosters will never fight for very long. The only reason these two fight for this long is because they have been put in a small space with no exit.
It's animal cruelty for some stupid peoples entertainment all pretending to be art. How about I stick you in a prison cell covered in paint and the inmates can beat you senseless while I film it?
- Thats a load of crap. Animals are ALWAYS fighting each other.
blah blah blah morality ethics blah blahcannonball

I hate "artists" sometimes

I'd be a bit more forgiving if the prints actually looked good.

This video do not shock me because of its content but just because some stupid (IMO) people thought it would be great to make some money from a cock fight (which is a natural act of violence). I don't find it artsy or cool and I do not consider it a good thing in any way. I think there are a lot of other ways not to be numbness.

Just to end this discussion in the nicest possible way,
consider the violent beasts we are:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ong…It's not surprising if we see an occational revival of dada.
This video may be both beautiful and shocking (to some),
in the end I consider that a good thing. Better than numbness.(Now, how do I close this thread)
- hey, don't close it - this kind of discussion is why i get on here every day.bigtrick
