OK, so we went for their triple play package or whatever the hell it is..you know phone, internet, digital cable..supposed to be $94 a month.
I open my bill and it's $400 fucking dollars. Why are you ass-raping me Verizon...
My wife made four phone calls to Japan - one 15 minute, one 8 minute and two 3 minute calls to which I am being charged $126...for $4.34 a Minute? WTF?? My wife made the observation she should stay on the phone for two hours and it would cos the same to fly to Japan..
I am about to call them up and getting all Captain Righteous on them..

who here has Verizon Fios. I'm moving into a new place and it's Fios or regular landline cable. I had at&t uverse before, but they don't offer it at the new place.

I had FiOS for two years. It was the best cable/internet I had ever had. Yeah, the download speed was fast, but the real difference came with the upload...it was several MB a second going the other way which I've never seen with non-fiberoptic service. Also, the user interface trumps anything I've seen on any other service and no slew of needless channels and multiple on demand options.
Now I have TimeWarner. It's not only more expensive, but it just doesn't compare. Watching TV, scheduling shit, uploading, it's all shit compared to FiOS. I miss it, personally. (I know, 1st world problems).

Fios has tons of HD channels and the internet is just super fast and no data cap. Can be a little too expensive.
- Oh, and tons of free HD on demand stuff from all the channels. Nothing compared.monospaced
