Mac problem from ignoramus

Hi, sorry about the vague, irrelevant and likely idiotic question...

I have a friend who has had problems with her mac - she can't access internet-oriented programs from her main (admin) account. There's a test account, I suspect put there by a mac-shop employee, which can access and use Safari and Firefox OK - but when I try from her main user account.. nada. Click on the logos - nothing happens.

I've tried searching Google and the Apple support forums, but because I'm completely Mac-ignorant I suspect I'm not searching for the right terms.

    Any ideas?

her admin account is no longer an admin account somehow!!!!

go to the test account and click on system preferences and then click on the accounts tab tell me what you see please?.

    • Ah, er.. I've not really though this through - can I get back to you tomorrow? Sorry, and thanks! xNairn

I'm away out the morn, but you should be able to see what accounts are what and is the test account has become the admin one switch it over it's pretty straight forward once you are in the accounts tab.

    • No, my reasons are simpler and more idiotic than that - I don't have the machine in front of me! :\ Je suis un'idiotNairn
