If anyone has used it, do you think it is a bit retarded that the cart TOTALLY RELIES on ajax to function?

Honestly, who doesn't have javascript activated these days? This site would lose functionality w/out it as well.

yeah, that was a complaint of mine. i wish they had the fancy version as well as a boring old version. i got excited when i saw "disable one page checkout" only to discover that shuts off checkout altogether. oh well.

i think it's more the way went about using it than the fact they use it. it's near impossible to mod the checkout screen because everything is so tied together, presentation and the js making it all work in the bg. change a class name of some seemingly random element and the whole thing breaks.
