Does anybody know how to fix the problem in vista where everything in C:/ is read-only... even the files and folders you have created yourself??
I'm trying to test a website locally through IIS and can't store records in the database because c:/ is read only.
Plz help!

i did this same thing, i tried it with xampp and didn't work, couldn't get it to work,
i tried wamp and it worked fine. i made a separate directory, so it's c:/wamp/www/everythinggoeshere.
so i say go with wamp.
