hey I'm a secret fresh water fish owner as well! I feel so relieved to finally come out of the aquarium closet. Mines quite smallish but big enough, 100 litres which i believe is about 26 gallons. One thing that i find annoying is that it sort of makes it very difficult to move to a new place having a tank, can't comprehend ever being able to move them easily. Any tips?

I have a 3 foot tank in my lounge, the plants have gone a bit nuts since I got the eheim going, need to cut them all back. I just have red caps (goldfish) in there at the moment.

My Dad used to own a pet shop and he bred tropical fish. It was one of my chores to help clean the tanks – 30 or 40 of them – summer and winter. We also had to clean the jars that the Siamese Fighting Fish were kept in – over 150 of them. We had to go to local creeks and collect and bunch freshwater weeds.
Every time I am tempted to get an aquarium setup – and I often am – I remember those times and suddenly I’m not so tempted.
