I think you're on t something. However, if you were to put the type up top, then the sun below cropped off the bottom of the page then it can represent both sunset (end of day) and a period (end of sentence).
Just an idea though.

why not take a photo of the end of a roll of film then the end of a piece of sting the end of a pen the end of a gun, a tail and the end of a pipe and a wire then align them to the left of the page and get some nice text which says the end. and draw an arrow which comes from the end text which then splits into however many items you have on the left then points to those items. Remove the arrow if you don't like it :D
is that something creative.

what if the sun objects are progressively eclipsing? Like when the conquistadors fooled the aztecs into thinking they were gods by predicting the eclipse? Maybe the eclipse happens with type?

draw a crazy line drawing with things you're thinking about with 1 line then have it stop. maybe make the line appear off the page. and scrawl 'the end' at the end of your line.
