Someone (about 2mos ago) posted a link to a program that looked similar to coda.
The program hadn't been released, it might be now.
Can anyone share that link with me and maybe some insight to the program if you've ever used it? Thanks!

I believe you're looking for Espresso:
http://macrabbit.com/espresso/
It's similar to Coda and has a plug in architecture.
Although, after seeing this, Panic quickly ensured Coda was updated to include a plug in system too.
Hope this helps.

i've tried the beta of espresso, its poor at the moment, but if it will eventually do what they say it is going to then there's a lot of potential. i recently bought coda because i couldn't wait for espresso to be properly released.
its good to see companies producing exactly what developers need, not these awful bloated IDEs that never seem to cut it without being awkward.

I use Coda every day, but I've been keeping an eye on Expresso, 'cause hey, it could be really great. Either way, the competition should at least make sure Panic keeps pumping out the updates. I like the new SVN clients that have been released lately, too. Good times. ;)

stick with CODA

Yeah Coda's great. It's probably my most used app (other than Safari and iTunes).
It went through a stagnant phase where they simply didn't update it at all for months, but since there's been competition in the marketplace with the aforementioned SVN clients such as Versions, and Espresso competing head on, Panic has been much more focused on pushing bigger updates more frequently.
It's great to see the smaller devs building far superior products to what Adobe can produce with its $billions of capital.

I'd like to know this from people as well raf. Debating on installing dreamweaver or purchasing Coda since it sounds like espresso is not up to part just yet.

Initially I loved Dreamweaver, but gradually as I relied on the design view less and less, Coda became a much more attractive option - it's very lightweight. There's not too many bells and whistles to slow things down.
I guess I missed the ability to "sync" a site between off and online, but now with SVN controls that's possible. Coda has just about everything I need with nothing I don't.

I find the Subversion in Coda to be pretty lacking. Sure, it's not supposed to be a replacement for a dedicated SVN app, but every single site I set up in Coda that I use Versions on as well it will inevitably crap out and I'll get repeated warnings about my SVN client being too old until I disable it completely. Maybe it's not Coda's fault, but regardless it's pretty annoying.

i use git instead of svn now, much better. support for it isn't built into coda, but you can use it from within coda with their terminal..

Is there anything even remotely like this for PC? I'm still coding my crap in Textpad ):
- I used this while I was on a pc, it was ok. Haven't tried textpad tho.

I used to use PSPad when I had to use a PC. I don't know if it's really any different than TextPad, but it's quite customizable and powerful for a free app.

i've heard good things about HTML-Kit for windows, never used it though

I use BBEdit but am looking to buy Coda as I want Code hints and Transmit....
Now what is this "SVN" for the knowledgless people like moi?
- acescence0
svn is subversion, a version control system that lets you check out and check in files, see change logs, roll back edits, etc.. critical if you're working in a collaborative environment, but also handy if you're just working alone.

what akoni said

Textmate fucking seconded with vengeance!
Once you use that nothing else can ever come close, and the community are a bunch of geniuses adding crazy new features constantly.

Textmate is the best text editor I've used and I've been writing code for some time. It's so good in fact, that Panic released plugins for Coda just so they could copy features from Textmate that aren't available in the Subetha editor.
