water marks on letterheads

I wanted to buy a yellowed paper for my letterhead. It seems like almost all of the paper I saw already had a watermark on it. Like Neenah paper had "Classic Crest" watermarked on their classic crest paper.
This bothers me. I don't want another companies branding on MY letterhead. Why does the company do that? Does this bother anyone else? Am I looking for paper in the wrong place?

Hey Russel. Seriously though. Unless you plan on printing your letterhead yourself (home printer), which you shouldn't, talk to your eventual print vendor about paper choices.

okay sweet. I appreciate it. One less dumb unanswered question for me. Thanks!

You could also have a custom watermark made from your logo. Strathmore provides this option; I believe Crane does too. I'm sure there are others. Could actually be a really nice touch if your letterhead is restrained and simple.

Conversely, most letterhead sheets can be specified in text weights rather than writing weights. Text sheets almost always come in the same colors/finishes as writing weights, but are never watermarked.

But it is very expensive.
