Hello all, small problem - Hoping the many minds on here might have the answer.
I've exported a PDF from InDesign, but on the preview the EPS's are fractured (vertical and horizontal lines) on the full page preview. When you zoom in they're not there..
Is it a preview thing (tried it in everything from acrobat, preview and quick look and it's always there), or is it problem with InDesign?
Has anyone had this before?

It could be a couple of things. If theres a transparency over the eps it could be causing the lines when its rasterized in making the pdf, it could be a memory issue if the eps's have a lot of detail.
Try printing it out and see if its on the printout. If it isn't then it could be just a memory issue so talk to whomever is printing it and let them know the issue so they can look out for it when they rip it for proofs and plates.

The export feature is fine but isn't perfect. If you get problems with it, try creating a postscript file and distill it... should solve the problem.

Think it could be the memory - everything else I've tried brings the same results.
Cheers for the help guys!

If it's just a visual for a client and they are complaining bout the lines, hide the type and vector placed files and export the page as a jpg, re link the image, turn your vector and type back on and export from this. Should do the trick.
- That works a treat! Cheers again for the help guys!Jonanon

Cool, but whatever you do talk to the printer. If they are any good they'll look out for it and if theres any problems you'll catch em early.
