I think you have to be a real imbecile to get a virus on a pc. In my circle of friends and family, I've not known one instance of them being caught out. Ever.
It really doesn't need to be (or simply isn't) like you describe benfal.
I've seem more damage done by users of both platforrns by downloading and using poor-quality freeware.
- bet half of your friends are parts of botnets just too dumb to noticemodern

I agree with moth. I'm a happy Windows user still. If you build a machine using a good buyguide, clean your system reguarly, do not use trash such as Norton, and invest in a good virus scanner and firewall (NOD32 for me!) along with good common sense - you're bound to enjoy your computer experience for a long time. Just like driving a car; you need not only to know how, but also some experience so you can actually be good at it (safe on the road).

what iam saying is, when i drive my Mac, i do not buckle my safety belt, i do not look where Iam driving, I roll blindly at heavy speed with no helmet. No security at all.
and never had any accident.

when i had a new pc, i didn't dare go online with it until all the software was updated, but trouble is you had to go online to get some updates!

Right then benfal. You're saying macs have no security features whatsoever. No firewall, no nothing right?
- benfal990
