I saw a documentary on time travel and its implications and there's a scientist who's making a machine that will esentially move particles back and forth like a tiny vibrator until they reach the speed of light and subsequently travel through time.

I would go back a couple of months when there was a £100m jackpot on the Euro millions that nobody won and change the numbers that were on my ticket to ones that were on the balls that came out of the machine.
That'd just about sort me out for life I think.

In terms of going back and only knowing everything I knew up to that point and a vague outline of the fact that I had already taken one path....
I'd have picked a profession that was more physical and involved exploring, instead of creativity. like mountaineer.

i would jsut freak people out with weird predictions and then place bets on it.. like i would travel back to 1980 and tell them in 2008 we still don't use fucking flying cars and then they would not believe me and i'd dare them on a bet and let them pay me this christmas!! :D

And if you went back, would it be with the knowledge that you have now? Otherwise how would you prevent what was happening? Would you just pop-back, make it all right, then come back to the present (future)? What if what you just changed had a massive knock on effect with your future - you would come back and everything would be different.
For fucks sake haven't you seen the Back to The Future trilogy!

Knowing what I know now, I would go back to... some years ago and tell my 21-year-old self to insist on breaking up with my first girlfriend instead of “making it work” after I engaged in a bit of slap ‘n’ tickle with some chicks (I was in a hair metal band, so yes, they were “chicks”). I would continue to slap and also to tickle.
