I'm in the market for a new apple laptop, but I don't have the money for the MacBook Pro.
I recently ditched my aging PC and am now without a gaming rig.
Has anyone here done any gaming on the new Macbook? Has anyone noticed any screen issues?

Unless you're getting dedicated graphics in your notebook, I wouldn't bother (aside from the massively limited quantity of games for Macs (yes I know about parallels)).
Buy a gaming rig then save your pennies for a Mac if you like your games that much...

xbox360, sucka.
- 360 kicks ass for everything except FPS, imo. PC still wins that war.BuddhaHat
- fallout 3, left 4 dead, gears of war...these suck?sublocked
- I'm not saying that. The controller sucks. Keyboard & Mouse rule FPS. Not dissing the games at all.BuddhaHat
- good thing that all FPS games look exactly the same for me then, cause I rather play on an xbox/ ps3Meeklo

i don't see why you should have any issues except there less games for mac.

everyone knows macs don't have any games.
Unless you are a fan of chess, zuma and checkers, get something else, ps3, xbox, wii, gameboy, dell, etc

I should clarify. I mostly play FPS games like TF2 and Left 4 Dead. I would be running them in XP through boot camp. I don't want a console as that would require owning a TV too.

I think the new mac book pros would do nicely.
PS. here is a little hint I have for you so that you can play PC games on a mac without dealing with XP

Worked great for me!

yeah the pros are good but can't afford a pro i wouldn't hold my breath if i were you. the graphics cards on the standard mac books aren't really the greatest gaming options.

This morning there were old MB Pros in the UK refurb store, 2.5GHz for £950. Is that a steal or what?..
