Almost a year ago I decided to start drawing everyday. I went out and bought a shiny new moleskine notebook and some brand new sharpies to keep myself motivated. As soon I finished my first drawing I snapped a photo and posted it on my blog. At first I was hesitant to call them "Daily Drawings" as I didn't want to start something I couldn't keep up with (see webcomics I tried to make when I was in Art School). Early on I started drawing type and text as a necessity because I was struggling to come up with things to draw.
At the beginning of the year I became consumed with the Presidential election. I spent countless hours listening to the news and reading articles. This series of drawings documents my account of the 2008 Presidential election.

I hope you enjoy them. I'm still posting daily drawings on my blog [chrispiascik.com/news].

Really nice job! I wish I had the time to just, eh, doodle like that every day. In fact, I bought some new smaller moleskin notebooks just for that purpose recently.
Great stuff and congrats on putting it into book for.

Offending hockey moms, huh?

Thanks everyone. Mg33, when I started doing these drawings I was working full time at a design studio in Boston and teaching a design course 2 nights a week in Hartford. It was quite crazy—but once you start forcing youself to make a little bit of time to draw something it becomes normal pretty quickly.

My personal copy just arrived. This is my first time using MagCloud and I have to say I am pretty happy with their service/quality.
