Vermont has passed Bill H.0888, Miscellaneous Tax Documents [http://www.leg.state.vt.us/data... which permits the formation of software-only virtual companies:
A board meeting may be conducted “in person or through the use of [an] electronic or telecommunications medium.” A “‘virtual company’ will be, as a legal matter, a Vermont limited liability company,” said Johnson. And other states are required to recognize the corporation as a legitimate LLC.
Oh, and some of the rules governing the company can be implemented in software. It's all part of an idea developed by the Virtual Company Project [http://dotank.nyls.edu/VisualCo...

And yet, the "Take Back Vermont" sign just down the road, signifying opposition to the civil union law granting same sex couples the same legal rights as married couples, only just came down. And only because of 3 or 4 seasons of VT winters

Can I then pay "virtual taxes" on my LLC?
If so, I'm moving to Vermont.

holy hell.... Awesome! I pushed my legal council to try and set something like this up for me probably 4 years ago and the overwhelming answer was "No". I found it odd that a garenteed 'contact' address that was not a a Post address would not be recognized, but it would not.
I love Vermont.
