Limewire is fine. Torrents are better sometimes (you can download individual files too). Try Limewire first, but if you get too many corrupt or fake files, or if the files won't download, go check out torrents.
If you're on a Mac, you can use some other programs, most of which are listed here:

Soulseek, torrents and music blogs are the way to go. You can find anything you want if you dig long enough.
