Jimbo, jesus man, rookie mistake. And you say you're going out with her 3 years, have you learned nothing?
Heres that phrase decoded:
'You have to come round on saturday night, I know your mates are going out so don't you go out with them, I don't care, I'm not going to be much fun anyway, I'm not feeling too good so will probably go to bed early anyway'By the way, this was the key element that you missed that caused you to fuck up "I'm not feeling too good".

I know all this, but it's not on, and I'm not going to have it. Next time she says anything to me I'm going to say to her 'you mean that?'. I'm not up for fucking mind games, we had saturday night planned, so why's she even saying that unless she's looking for an argument. If I say something to her, I mean it, I'm not playing tricks, testing her, so why's she doing it to me. I'm not having it.

You missed an obvious chance to score some major brownie points my friend.
- Jimbo820
I'm not out for brownie points, I'm out for a fucking civilized grown up relationship where people say what they mean and don't throw fucking curve balls to try and fuck things up.

'you mean that?'
hahahahahahahahahaha! So she plays mindgames with you but you think by asking 'you mean that?' that you'll get a straight answer? Sir I salute your derring-do attitude to being disappointed.

Not all women are like this. Most feel the need to be b/c they are insecure and need to know you care about them. Sometimes the need is more then other times. I've always been honest with my guys. I'd likely have said "I know you're friends are going out. I'd really like to spend some alone time with you even if its doing nothing. If you need a guys night out or its something important though the for sure go." Then if he wants to go out I right then would ask for a plan....like "can we hang out tomorrow then? just the two of us?" and that would be that. If I really needed my guy that night I'd state that and why it was important to me but i'd never see it as needy if i had a good reason. Girls are just as afraid to say how they really feel so give um a break eh? Just a simple compliment would've solved you're problem and made her feel amazing."Geez you're so (compliment) honey, I wish I could spend the night with you but i've promised the boys we'd go out. Can I make it up to you later tonight or tomorrow?"

You can't get them to play the game the way we do. "Teaching them a lesson" by taking what they say at face value will only result in you being in the doghouse. Even the ones who claim they don't play games do (in fact saying that is itself a game). Resistance is futile. Learning to play their way is the only path to survival
- Carl_Weathers0
survival is futile too, by the way.

Look, everything is futile but along the way sex happens and its a nice distraction so enjoy it while it lasts. All three minutes of it.

once a month. high five Ian. Damn... futile.

I'm not having it. I'm trying to remember the last time I got mad with her, can't remember. Watch, I'm going to fucking throw some curveballs her way and make her deal with some shit.

Nothing like keeping score to keep a relationship healthy.
