Why do i get only a part of my mov rendered to wmv? not the whole movie? seems like the last bit is missing...

Almost sounds like you're using a trial version of whatever converter (Flip4Mac?) that QT is using to convert it into a WMV. Often they only let you do a portion of the file without paying. But usually it's 30s or so. Maybe couldbe probablynot whoknows

just called a friend who's a pro in video work, and he told me you'd need a pro version of Flip4Mac..or yes, what locustsloth said..
