nice work!!

I fixed it! Just put a "+" beside the "(track)" here:
<!ELEMENT songlist (track+)>
to suggest that there has to be 1 or more.

I am using this site:
http://www.validome.org/xml/vali…I fixed all the special characters, like "&", apostrophes, etc., but I will check the tags now.

as far as your error... you using Dreamweaver to validate?...
... whatever you're using - my guess is it's 'runnin' home to mamma' and not sure...
... so 1.) check for an unclosed node first... then 2.) look for odd characters like '&' - dreamlamer's validate dealio seems to dislike them - but in the end it all depends on what you're using to parse the xml (flash, php... whateva!)... that's all I got. :)

< cd id = "1" title = "Title Goes Here1" artist = " Artist Name1" />
< cd id = "2" title = "Title Goes Here2" artist = " Artist Name2" />
< cd id = "3" title = "Title Goes Here3" artist = " Artist Name3" />
< cd id = "4" title = "Title Goes Here4" artist = " Artist Name4" />
< cd id = "5" title = "Title Goes Here5" artist = " Artist Name5" />

It's actually not that bad. Pretty straight-forward. I'm just trying to get used to the lingo.

I almost launched into the world of XML a few years ago. I am glad I didn’t.

I'm almost done :)
I'm going through my errors right now, and this is the only one I have:
"Content of element type "tracks" must match "(track)"."
What does that mean?

or something like this may be better:
