Right, I've got an evening in, got footy tomorrow so can't go out on the lash tonight, who's played both these games and if I was to get one (xbox 360) which one should I get?!
Dead space looks neat, but I've heard good things about Fallout 3...

Fallout 3! Without a doubt. I just got dark sector for xbox360 as well, you should try it out.

Haven't played either but I think Fallout 3 would give you much more for your money. The game play hours are probably triple or more than Dead Space.

Anyone played Fable 2?
- Fable II is plagued with bugs. I lost my first game to a freeze. Everyone's waiting for a patch.

i'm not playing but check game trilers and footage frequently. from that i got an inkling that the fuss about fallout overrates a bit while dead space looks more like a next-gen calibre. pure visual impression though.

I'm edging towards Fallout, gonna get out of work early and catch whsmith before they close. Or there's always Saints Row which won't compare to GTA but looks fun

Fallout 3 is like a 100+ hour game. Dead Space is more like 25-30.

Playing Fallout 3 now man. It's incredibly deep and varied. My cousin is playing it as well, and it's interesting how different our games are. We have gone in completely different directions, just by deciding where to go first once you bust out into the world. The choices you make and places you go really affect your game. One thing to keep in mind though, you are comparing a FPS to an RPG. Fallout does not work in the same fashion as a shooter, 1st or 3rd person. The combat is extremely unique and takes some getting used to, but is very rewarding once you get it to click. I haven't played Dead Space but it's in my Gamefly queue. Gameplay aside, you will most likely get more out of Fallout 3.

I beat deadspace in about 12 hours, it's rather straightforward shooter but a great game nonetheless. Fallout3 is a much deeper traditional d&d style RPG with first-person and shooter elements and I expect it to take 30+ hrs for completion. Both are amazing games though! I'd pick up both.

I'm going to go with Dead Space I think, I don't play games too much anyway, I don't get the time, and fallout 3 looks like it takes a lot of dedication to get into it. Plus I've got pes 09 that I've barely scratched the surface with become a legend (takes ages) AND I've just got guitar hero 3 which is frickin awesome, but more of a multiplayer game. Dead Space it is.

Got Dead Space on Friday, got about 3.5 hours into it over the weekend. Have to say, it is excellent. There are some freaky things going on up on that spaceship, good storyline, excellent sound. Some of the best graphics to be seen on the 360, the whole atmosphere and Art Direction is amazing, anyone who's a fan of Alien, or Event Horizon or any space horror title has got to get this. The no hud feature is brilliant too. Glad I got it over Fallout, great game.
- Going to pick this up on Saturday! Any multiplayer online?MSL

Played both these games and I have to say they are both pretty dope. Fallout 3 seems like a pretty solid game, but it does play almost identical to Oblivion...in fact it almost seems like the same game with a different theme. The combat is much better and so are the graphics, but overall I have almost lost interest in this game after about 4-5 hours of playing it. Maybe as I get farther into it, my opinion will change?Deadspace is also really good and the better of the 2 imo. It is extremely similar to Doom 3 in regards to the overall dark tone, the character modeling, and of course the genre "survival horror". In fact, almost everything reminds me of Doom 3 with a few caveats like zero gravity rooms, and the ability to slow objects and use gravity to manipulate them. Don't get me wrong though, the graphics are much much better than Doom 3, and probably some of the best to date (Slightly better than Gears of War even) This game is freaky and the sound is pretty amazing. The only thing is on PC (the version I played) there is a slight delay in the mouse movement which can be annoying, but I got used to it right away.

I JUST found out today that your PIP Boy in Fallout 3 comes with a light. I was seriously stumbling around complaining that the game was too dark in spots and that I needed to find a light if there was one.
I probably missed 100 items I could have grabbed. Back to those spots now!

Although there is no multiplayer, I can't recommend Dead Space enough, really great game, keeps you on the edge of your seat all the way through, and the ability to upgrade your guns, armour and abilities almost makes it like an RPG with the action
