how come nobody ever wants to touch viet nam in video games. always war in germany, war in the dessert, war in russia, war in the desert, war in the desert, war in the desert... etc.
there's so much to work with if they use viet nam, guerrilla war far, biochem weapons... the fucking jungle and all the fucked up critters in the jungle... etc
i'm tired of TAN war games.
i'm stoked for the flame thrower in this new COD tho. i'm MORE stoked for gears of war 2.

MP beta was garbage. No where near as clean and smooth as COD4. Its even using the same engine as 4. No.

Multiplayer Beta is available to everyone on Xbox Live now, I was playing it a bit last night... It looks/plays about the same as COD4. The dogs are fun and tear shit up, got 2 packs in 1 game, ended up with 28 kills/5 deaths

I ONLY have COD4 and EA:Skate, neither of which I've played much in the last two months.
Skate 2 is coming out this winter... I need to hurry up and beat the career mode on skate. Love playing it in online multiplayer.
If there is one new game you'd suggest out there for me to get, what would it be? Always thought about BioShock.

Bioshock is a good, but Fallout 3 is amazing. Get it unless you really hate RPGs.

Dead Space - Survival horror like Resident Evil but in space.
Far Cry 2 - GTA-style FPS in Africa.

Are there any role playing games where you can run a cattle ranch? Like, deal with every aspect of it. Herding them together on horseback, protecting other animals from intruders like wolves or foxes, taking the herd on a multi-thousand mile trek to market. Or, maybe if in modern times, deal with earning enough income to hold off the bank from foreclosing on your property; coming up with new ways of generating income (getting the wife to can some preserves and sell at the monthly farmers market festival), and possibly being able to pick new animals to raise. Or, are there any games like this set in the Old West, where, maybe you'd have to fight off Indians, protect your land from them and decide what kind of barbed wire to buy for fences and also hiring a work crew to put up fence polls and barbed wire?

Isn't Viva Pinata somewhat about ranching? Or something weird like that? I don't know much about the game, but I watched a video on it on YouTube and between my confusion took that out of it.

I've been playing the beta and though it is ok...it is no COD4...it's really NOT innovative at all. It's more just like a mix of the best parts of COD3 and COD4...but they didn't do much to add new interesting things to it.
