This is like flash effects for info design. It's nice and pretty but not really that practical. "Neato clean" interfaces like these obstruct my digestion of and passage through the information I request.
On another note it would be nice in the view mix to show what exactly each view is useful for. Some are better than other at things and at times I'm like "uh which one does what".
Sick coding though.

I agree with Mime. This is an attempt to make a living personal environment out of search results at the expense of good search results. Its a curio at best, people don't search to create image clouds, they search to get good results quickly and with clarity.
Probably Google has something to learn about next gen interfaces from it, but its pretty inefective once you've got over the novelty factor. Took me two minutes to get over that.
