I want to be able to watch TV on my MacPro.
I have Time Warner Cable in the other room with one cable box.
Ideally, I'd be able to watch different channels than what my roommates have on.
I've found: http://www.elgato.com/elgato/int… but am scared that it isn't what I want.
Does anyone have this setup or know how I can achieve this?
Do I need a second cable box?

yeah, you need a tv tuner of some sort, which those are. you'll only be able to get the basic cable channels though, none of the higher or digital channels
