Adobe Illustrator Photorealism

I'm looking for some amazing, or even just plain decent, photorealistic artwork done with Adobe Illustrator with which to dazzle my students (their next assignment will be a photorealistic rendering). It'll be for an on-screen presentation, so 72 dpi is fine (preferred, actually, maybe about 550 px wide or thereabouts). I've already got a bunch of Yukio Miyamoto's stuff, and rather than just Google for additional artists, I wanted to ask you guys who you like. I'm looking to inspire and fire imaginations, so show me the goods. (No pictures of Jnr's Mom, though – way too obvious.)

I teach Advanced adobe Illustrator...and we do a portrait assignment in mesh...some of my students have achieved absoute photorealism....like I posted above....but I gotta say...I ONLY teach it cause people think it's impressive and want to know how to do it...yet it's rather silly. Take a photo if you want photo realism....use Illustrator to create Illustrative looks....the properties of using a mesh aren't even vector anyway.
- lol I can't tell you how many times I've laughed to myself about this. It actually does look good on a resume, though.dog_opus

By the way...where do you teach?

I agree, marychain. I never do it for work – ever. I teach at a community college with an associate's program for design (we're actually part of the UMass system, though – some of our students just transfer over to UMass Dartmouth when they're done). I'm hoping to launch an advanced course somewhere down the line. Some of my students are truly gifted and are just hungry for more. Not much chance anytime soon, though, with the economy (especially here in Mass. with spending already out of control).

Î Thanks, john. I actually checked that out last night, and the images are too small, unfortunately. Isn't that someone's site who posts here, by the way?
- I shouldn't help you after your 2pac comment, but alas i will. http://www.qbn.com/b…moveinspace
- Thanks movingspace. I didn't appreciate being told "I know nothing about hip hop," though, just for expressing...dog_opus
- ..my opinion. I've been into hip hop since the early 80s. I mean no real offense, as I assume you don't.dog_opus
