Do you know where you're staying, 67? There's lots of shortterm apartment rental sites to be found online. Cheaper and actually way nicer than a hotel.
A friend of mine has two places in the same building in the 17th at Place des Ternes. I've stayed in the larger of the two and it's great if you're going with more than just your gf — we usually go with another couple. The smaller I think is rented out long-term at the moment but if you're interested you can always email Gilles.

What kind of stuff are you and gf into, 67?
Junk store?
Vintage stuff?
Flea markets?
Music?
Food?
High-street shopping?

Bastille has a lot of night life, shops, markets, art... If you go to the Louvre go early, like 8:00 - 8:30... Too bad it's cold there now, never been there for fall. Hope you like baguettes...
