I had that bullshit happen to me with Bank of America. Those mother fuckers hit me up on like 6 overdrafts.
I was pissed as hell and called up Bank of America and bitched them out until they gave me back my dough.

wamu had (have?) a nice deal where they pay for the first overdraft fee, at least this was my experience.
I had the same problem though, where i had signed up for a gym membership and i actually told them on the phone not to bill me until the next day, they did it anyway and overdrafted my account. that day i called up the gym and got really pissy with them asking to speak with mangagers etc. and they coughed up the 30 bucks.

oh my god, so many sheep here: "this is the way it is so just accept it."
How they set up their system is not your business, the fact that you deposited the check before they hit you with the fees matters. Simple logic here and don't let them tell you "this is how it is." Call them up and bitch until they give you back your money.

All that I know is that I have been getting 3-5 pieces of junk mail from Wamu a week for the past two years...

take them to small claims court. They likely wont want to hire someone to defend them.
